First Post
Morning everyone,
I started this blog because me and my friend are co-founders of our new running club in town. We have about 15-20 members and we're starting to meet up for long runs, workouts etc. In the later phases we're hoping to get some singlets and gear and competing in races together, so I figured this is a great way to keep everyone up to date and current on the latest running trends and technologies, and making sure everyone has complete knowledge and opinions before they purchase and running swag.
To begin with, I find the minimalist "movement" very interesting and I'm definitely testing it out myself. I've gotten a few injuries in the process, mostly do to too much to soon like an idiot, but over the past couple months I've definitely stopped overstriding and improved my running form.
The first few reviews I'm going to start with are the Terra Plana Evo II's, Vibram KSO's (after I get a pair) and the ones I'm really looking forward to reviewing is the Altra Adam/Instinct.
I REALLY like the way Altra is going about their shoe design and distribution, only marketing them to stores that support the minimalist and zero-drop approach. Hopefully I can get my hands (or feet) on a pair of these so I can test them out myself.
Keep checking back for updates as I'll post my review of the Evo II's within a few days (finals week is hectic!)
